Engineer Umar Jamil is a BSc in Electrical Engineering; a Chartered Engineer

and Fellow of  Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

He is also a Member of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and member of several other bodies.

He is the chairman, The FLUX Inc., a conglomerate of fair size services providers, the realization of an Entrepreneurial dream.

He is a teacher, Trainer and Consultant and Author of several publications. With hand on experience in setting up and running businesses, large and small, he proceeds to start some new projects to expand the FLUX Network.

In December, 2005, Engineer Mr.Umar Jamil , CEO The FLUX Inc., was describing the achievements of his company made over the last five years and its recent performance.

“We practice team work. we have a flattened structure with effectively one layer between the shop floor and me. Doors are open and there are no walls between departments. Clients visit our facilities frequently and we work closely for developing long term relationships with them. Our system and processes are simple and streamlined. We maintain minimum complaints, individual initiatives are encouraged,teamwork and extensive communications are a norm and mistakes are not penalized. We are continuously enhancing and improving the operations with the participation of our employees. We have no hesitation in sharing information with other competitors and clients. I am a member of the executive committee of the FCCI (Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and I share my experience with other chamber members. We actively participate in different programmes organized by several Industrial, Management and academic organizations. We keep on introducing new techniques and improving the applications of old ones in response to the requirements of different customers. In fact,adoption of new techniques is part of process of continuous improvement of processes in response to market requirements.”
