UKAS Quality Management invited FLUX to attend a seminar on Quality Circles in June 2006.UKAS emphasize on quality circles, for quality improvement, productivity enhancement, and employee participation for a long time. by that time FLUX had already had some success with benchmarking and different statistical techniques for quality improvement; and his faith in quality had been firmly established. Mr. Uzair Saeed General Manager The FLUX Inc. recalled:
“We are on the road toward a quality company and FLUX wanted to be experienced throughout the rank and file of the whole organization. When UKAS people invited him to a qbuality circle (seminar) programme, he took with him a busload of people from different sections of the company, tough some of them had to stand at a back because of insufficient space.
The top management at FLUX considered quality circles a basic and effective ingredient of quality and took it as a mechanism for unleashing the creative potential of its people. As explained by Engineer Umar Jamil:
“Customer satisfaction comes from high quality at a reasonable price; which can only be achieved by involving your people, by ruthless delegation and by realizing their potential. Quality circle is a revolution and it has helped us a lot. It is the most effective vehicle for achieving continuous improvement and developing quality culture.”
