In 2005, Engineer Sheikh Umar Jamil borrowed Rs.20000 from his father Sheikh Muhammad Jamil and started Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Business in his own house with three employees and four Personal Computers. He promoted his websites up to a good page rank and showed his work to some SEO clients in Lahore, Pakistan. He succeeded to acquire some SEO projects from clients due to quality of his work. His business expanded in 2006 when he got SEO Projects from UK and he had ten employees at that time. Meanwhile he started work on some other projects like Visa Consultancy, Industrial Automation, Jobs & Staff providing, Advertising, Import & Export Trading.

Umar’s competition grew in 2007, in Faisalabad alone. The same year The FLUX Inc. was formed with a furnished office & lab in the central location of Faisalabad. Engineer Umar Jamil was appointed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The FLUX Inc. FLUX main projects were Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Web Hosting & Development, Visa Consultancy, Jobs & Staff Providing Activities, Industrial Automation, Advertising, Import & Export Trading, CallCentre & Professional Trainings Institute.

In August,2007, Xelinx (Pvt) Ltd, Malaysia invited people from FLUX to attend seminars, workshops, and training sessions and gave them the opportunity to see those practices in action  at their premises. They send their people to FLUX for training and to participate in FLUX programmes including conventions and assessments. They also encourage FLUX employees to come to their offices and make presentations on their quality efforts.

Mr.Umar Jamil was of the view:

 

“A good customer gives you an edge which helps you in improving your processes augmented by the personal interests of the customers in the Consultancy processes to provide higher value.”

 

Engineer Mr.Umar Jamil who graduated in Electrical Engineering, had all along been of an entrepreneurial disposition. He had special interests in Search Engine Optimization. He had received trainings form King's College London in Applied Business Computing and had wide experience of Management, Consultancy, and quality management with several organizations. He believed that quality in life was a prerequisite for quality in professional and organizational conduct. He said “Quality should exude from a manager’s personality. The way he dresses, talks, behaves, handles organizational matters….” His immaculate way of dressing and talking, neatness of his working style and clarity of purpose symbolized his vision.”

Mr.Umar Jamil had a clear understanding of the importance of quality inn and the role of senior management in implementing different programmes. He while explaining the company profile of The FLUX Inc. said:
